Comprehensive Classroom Management and Organization Plan

Purpose: The Comprehensive Classroom and Organization Plan is to reflect on one’s leadership and management style in order to develop a plan for effective classroom management and discipline.

Your Comprehensive Classroom Management and Organization Plan must be written in the first person.

This assignment requires the skills of application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. Include reference citations in your Plan and a reference list at the end of the paper, in APA format. This plan is your recipe for success!

Directions: Use the seven sections of this assignment to complete your plan. The seven sections include

1. Introduction section

2. Procedures section

3. Instruction section,

4. Student diversity section,

5. a home-school connection section,

6. a modification plan section, and

7. a conclusion section.

Below is an outline of what you need in each section:

1. Introduction:

1. This will include a rationale, philosophy statement, and the classroom grade level and demographics.

2. In your first paragraph please explain your philosophy in terms of the four philosophical frameworks we discussed in Chat 4.  (Ecological, Behavioral, Humanistic and Psychoanalytical)  You will find an explanation in the PowerPoint Attached called “What your Believe is What you do”.  It is attached to Week 4-6 Instructions email.

3. Your second paragraph should discuss the type of power you utilize to best meet your students’ needs. (also in the attached PowerPoint.

4. Please discuss the demographics of your classroom and overall school.

2. Procedures:

1. This will include a discussion of the rules and consequences and a description of the teacher’s instructions introducing the rules and consequences. In addition, a description of how the teacher manages student work, transitions between activities, homework, restroom procedures, and dismissal will be included. A safe learning environment and the prevention of problems will be addressed.

3. Instruction:

1. This will include a drawing of the room arrangement, discussion of whole and small group instruction, differentiation of tasks, and the roles and responsibilities associated with collaborative/cooperative projects.

4. Student Diversity

1. This will be addressed by listing accommodations for meeting the needs of the diversity in the classroom, along with varying levels of ability (noted in the differentiation of tasks), and a respect for the diversity of students’ cultural, linguistic, and family background.

5. The Home-School Connection:

1. This will provide a description of the manner that the home and school are connected. Specifics related to parent contact should be described.

6. Modification plan:

1. This should provide a proactive modification plan that includes how behavior is identified, data are collected, and an intervention is planned. Monitoring should be addressed.

7. Conclusion:

1. This should be a concise summary statement.

8. Reference Page:

1. All sources should be cited.
