have in-text citations (MLA format) within your actual paper for the sources listed on your
works cited page. An in-text citation is used at the end of any sentence in your essay that
tells information from a source/story. In most cases, the in-text citation includes the
author’s last name in parentheses at the end of the sentence that gives information from a
source. If you cannot find the author’s last name, then you should use the article title (not
the website name) in quotation marks inside the parentheses for the in-text citation. You
